I had great anticipation when I started the Life of Pi and the beginning was great yet I felt bludgeoned by the author with all the grisly details of killing and death over and over again. And I've read many books with grisly detail before but it became tedious here. I finished the book but I think its highly overrated. But to each their own but I won't be paying 10.50 to see it no matter how amazing the trailer looks, too damn expensive.
