I love Refn, but he\’s just being cheeky for God\’s sake. After all Bergman made the source film (Virgin Spring) for one of the great \’exploitation\’ films ever: Last House on the Left. Not only that Fincher ripped off the opening of Persona to include the penis shot in Fight Club that was so edgy at the time:) NWR knows better than that!

it is a shame that viewers base opinions of art on the artists that create them. Who cares what kind of person NWR IS….I like him. I do think he is self-centric, but does that automatically mean I should dislike him? With all types of people, we as humans understand that different people require different interpreting and thus different interactions. I have plenty of self-centric friends and I understand how that personality affects the way they talk about things; then I interpret that information, completely brush it aside, and resume the conversation. His movies are great.
