I love this guy. A feature film with him directing and Tilda Swinton in a feature role would be a match made in heaven.

Social Network\’s strongpoint is the screenplay, everyone and Fincher himself probably knows this (there\’s interviews where Fincher talks about Social Network not being a \”great\” film). The editing and music come next. The directing is nothing to write home about.

RonJay, after the interview was over he did commend the editing of the film, particularly in the opening scenes.

The directing and editing are ace, no doubt…….but TSN still comes off as a TV movie.

For him to miss how directing and editing played a major part into making the Social Network\’s writing compelling really makes me doubt he knows what he is talking about. Then again one would only need to see Tropical Malady to further prove my point.
