I feel I should point out two things:

1. Wes Craven's contributions to Dream Warriors consisted of co-writing a first draft of the script. It was Frank Darabont and Chuck Russell's rewrite that got the film green-lit and led to the creation of the Whedon-influencing horror / fantasy classic we cherish.

2. Every abandoned state mental hospital in New England, and as far as I know all over the country, is FULL of old files and documents. When they closed those places they left all kinds of amazing stuff there. It was cheaper then paying to have them trucked off to a dump or an incinerator. I know someone who took boxes and boxes of old files out of a deserted state hospital. They make for very depressing reading.

Glad to see "Bedlam" on the list. Val Lewton + Boris Karloff = Good

I'll throw "The Cobweb" from 1955 into the mix. It's a nice Vincent Minnelli melodrama, with the changing of the mental institution's curtains as the main plot mover.
