I'm not exactly happy that Scott is directing the picture though, to be honest. His style bugs me for whatever reason. I hope he takes a much more SUBTLE approach with this film, without drowning the entire film out with cheesy/corny soundtrack music playing in the background every other scene.

McCarthy is my favorite living author, and when the news broke that he wrote a spec and sold it, I was VERY excited. I was thinking Hillcoat, Andrew Dominick, or Todd Field would Direct it. Hope Scott takes his time with this. We'll see.
