I\’m with Daniel – It wasn\’t perfect, but I was so pleased that someone dared to try to make it. And thanks to the actors who gave their best. Yes, there were some makeup problems. There were also some amazing scenes.

I watched the film with subtitles on. It takes a long time for all the episodes to come together but when they do the last 45 minutes is incredible. I agree with Hugh Grant an amazing film

what really confused me about Cloud Atlas was the fact that the audience was supposed to see through the make-up changes in order to understand how the characters changed over time.

Hugh Grant dont lose faith. You along with the other actors and Wachowskis did a great job. The film had great insight on the world as it is or is heading towards. Sadly the majority wont understand for awhile. But never look at it as a loss. People out there understand the stories and meanings that both the movie and book presented. Its just a matter of people becoming more aware. As crazy as this may sound Cloud Atlas has for ever changed the way i live my life. All the best looking forward to more intellectual film with Jupiter Ascending.

After reading David Mitchell\’s groundbreaking novel (my second favorite book of all time), I went into Cloud Atlas, the film, with the highest of expectations. Ever since the fantastic 5-minute trailer premiered, I watched it every day until the film\’s release (yes, I was very anxious to see it). And you know what? I wasn\’t disappointed! On a fundamental level, the film differed greatly from the novel\’s progression of plot, but none of hat bothered me. Each character was fully embodied by the actors that portrayed them. Of course, there were moments when I thought the dialogue was lacking, and certain sequences somewhat laughable (the whole "post-apocalyptic Hawaii", to be precise), but I truly found myself awed by the feats the Wachowskis and Tykwer overcame. It was an ambitious project, and I believed they pulled it off. I still love the film, regardless of the naysayers.

I liked Cloud Atlas. It wasn\’t perfect, a flaw that it shares with just about every movie ever made, but overall it worked, which is a miracle considering all the different elements in it. Plus, how can you hate a movie that gives you the value of six different movies all happening at the same time? So, I\’m with Hugh on this one.

One of the worst movies I\’ve ever seen. Embarassed for all parties involved. Not sure how it could be called "too intellectual" when it\’s cliches stacked on top of cliches with brutal dialogue and makeup.
