The movie looks good. Sad that Bomer dies in the movie. Matt Bomer and Cillian Murphy are the best actors in the movie.

Too bad the best actor in the movie is barely in it at all: Matt Bomer. Am very glad for the first trailer because now I don\’t have to sit through Timberlake\’s bad acting for two hours.

Niccol couldn\’t sell \”Gattaca\” (selfish young man with heart defect more than willing to endanger a space mission \’cause he \”deserves\” to be an astronaut, darn it: no thanks) or \”The Truman Show\” (as if: the argument stops right there), and he won\’t be able to sell this limping cross between \”Les Miserables\” and \”Logan\’s Run,\” especially with Timberlake\’s childishly flat line delivery. The premise is not just creaking, it\’s disintegrating on the launch pad. Murphy looks and sounds bored. And \”futuristic setting\”: the L.A. River…? Oh, please. Next.

This is a much, much better trailer than the first one—which literally made zero sense and gave away the entire movie. But this will be a tough sell, anyway. I\’m on board simply because of Andrew Niccol—who described this movie somewhere as a spiritual cousin to Gattaca. That\’s enough to warrant my $13 bucks.
