MacLaine is great, but she's basically in every American film playing roles that Meryl Streep is still too young to play. How about some other great actress like Debbie Reynolds, Gena Rowlands, Elaine Stritch or Angela Lansbury (although, she is technically British, but has been living States for most of her life) to have a last chance to shine?
As for Mirren and Firth – 2 of my favorite actors in the same movie with other acting greats = I'm so there!
