I’d argue there’s a time & a place for everything. Maybe Peggy’s funeral isn’t the time or place to go “Alright, the blonde is part of the family. I’ve so got this.”

Plus it wouldn’t have hurt to give her an actual role besides “Three scene walk-on part so we can underscore that despite how much he cares for Bucky, Captain America ain’t gay.”

I just think this whole 50th subplot in the film could have been handled much better. But, as much as I enjoy the films – and I do – now that we’re 13 movies into the MCU each film is so overstuffed with storylines set up in previous movies that certain things are bound to feel underdeveloped. Captain America & Sharon having any kind of connection is one of them because at this point the only real scene they’ve had together that isn’t plot based is a meet-cute in Winter Soldier. I buy the two want to fuck. Not that they care for each other. And the movies will never push forth the idea that Captain America just wants to have a little carefree fun.

Of course now Sharon Carter won’t be back on screen for two or three years until a five minute walk on role in the next Avengers movie where they’ll play up this “romance” as something that really means a lot to the Captain.

He was flirting with her in winter soldier too. It’s been an ongoing thing. Peggy moved on got married had kids. Hey Steve you just pine away and not be with the woman your attracted to. Suffer some more. Lol

Movies didn’t play it as just a kiss. They’ve played this up that “Agent Carter was the love of his life!” so it felt odd that at the love of his life’s funeral he immediately starts eyeing & flirting with her hot niece.
