I was actually in the audience and it’s a very interesting mix of comedy and horror. It’s a weird movie and not for everybody, but I loved it and so did 2 of the 3 other friends I went with. I see how you can love or hate it but I don’t know how you look at this movie and think it’s studioish or whatever. Actually thought direction was great and completely right for the script, which I had read previous. I hope people see this.

Maybe all of the emphasis on slasher stuff is supposed to give a nod to the old-school films that have to have had some influence on the script’s creation in the first place.

If I knew what the reviewer was expecting (maybe I’ll have to read the article?), maybe I’d know if he’s being nit-picky or has a valid point.
