A "Shakespeare in Love" sequel isn't an outright horrible idea. It could be the "Before Sunset" to the original's "Before Sunrise" – in the twilight of Shakespeare's career, when his perspective on life has changed, and he's writing darker stuff like "Macbeth." More of a winter's tale, so to speak.

Shakespeare sequel some ideas of my own. First of all I would like to say how much I enjoyed the movie Shakespeare in love, If I were writing the story of a part two I came up with these ideas on my own: Shakespeare while grieving the the loss of Violet he is sent word that is wife is sick and he must return home at once, Meanwhile the lovely Violet is wandering the island and embarks upon some pirates who's character's are funny, and dumb. Viola is able to out smart them and is able to write Shakespeare but her only chance in hopes of reaching him are to put the letter in a bottle and cast it into the sea with a dream and prayer. Shakespeare who is at sea finds the bottle and finds her they are reunited…..Okay thats all i got so far, im just a fan with a creative mind, full of ideas. Thank you. Dieing to see a sequel!!!!! There has to be more too it I can see it on my own mind playing out just felt maybe I can spark some creativity in others (DAVID)

I've published three adaptations — Hamlet, Richard III and The Merchant of Venice — that tell the true story of Shakespeare and the Elizabethan period.

I loved Shakespeare In Love, but it's a fairy tale.

What Shakespeare deserves is his own "Amadeus."
