I'll disagree there even if Lumet's body of work on a whole is sometimes uneven. 12 Angry Men is a better film than any piece jacknape could ever write.

Armond White: One of the most fascinating/aggravating/confounding contrarians of all time.

Great writer when he's not being an asshat (80% of the time), but i think his dickery has condemned him to write to no audience (NYFPress) for the rest of all eternity.

He'll be lauded correctly after his death in books, but pretty much everyone hates him now.

I love Harvey. One of my favorite movies of all time. Beautiful zen philosophy in the background to zany imbalanced characters. Stewart is amazing and his monolouge is one of the greatest most humanist monolouges in all of cinema's history. It's transcendent.
There's nothing to add upon. I'm very dissapointed in Spielberg

He's so committed to the fine art of cinema as to concern himself with improving some mediocre film from a half-century ago. I hope this is the beginning of a crusade.

I'm not the biggest fan of Harvey. It was decent but a remake is really unnecessary. Also, if they show the goddamn rabbit with some shitty special effects, that's going to blow.

"Harvey" is all wrong for Spielberg – it's bound to bring out his "mawkish sentimentalist" side with a vengence. Intrigued by his proposed remake of "Oldboy" – i mean, to be blunt, (spoiler alert) is Spielberg really gonna make a film in which Will Smith fuc@s his daugther?
