He was enjoyable, but honestly Han Solo had so little depth, I wouldn't have given two s***s if he died in Return of the Jedi. (Or anyone else for that matter.)

The Star Wars "franchise" is much bigger than the Indiana Jones movie "franchise", but the Indiana Jones character is definitely bigger/better than the Han Solo character.

Honestly… I don't think either of them really have much depth, they are action heroes. It's just the difference between a lead and a supporting role.

no shit. Indiana Jones was the lead, all 4 movies were named after him. Han Solo was a nice contrarian element, but a supporting character and sidekick at best. Which would you prefer if you were Harrison Ford? Let's just hope they aren't trying to turn Han Solo into a lead in Episode VII.

absolutely correct. Solo is cool but has no depth whatsoever. he's a space trucker with a souped up truck and a lapdog. through some hijinks and finagling hooks up with a space princess, has a bad day when double-crossed by an old friend he, in turn, once betrayed, and helps bring down the government with the help of a space squid and midget furries.

um, i'm not entirely certain i made my case here….
