Ford is one of my favorite actors ever. I love him, respect him, hold him in the highest of esteem. But he is a billion years old now. Whatever happened to the notion of retirement for celebs? Actors, like boxers, never retire anymore. They stay in the ring until they die, becoming a sad punching-bag spectacle of what they once were. Hollywood, stop dragging moldering corpses around and start hiring new action stars damn it!

Gotta say, if true, this ruins the original for me. One of the things I loved was the ambiguity – could Deckard be a replicant? Yes or no? Every time you watch it you pick up on something new that may sway your opinion one way or another. If I see an old, cantankerous Deckard rounding up a slew of new, young replicants… ugh. Just, ugh. Please no.

This actually seems like the only way to go. A reboot, or prequel would be a disaster. At least with Ford's involvement, there's intrigue.
