I agree sjvp, nothing sounds all the great about The Savages for me. It\’s nothing ground breaking or new, plus Oliver Stone hasn\’t made a good movie in years. There are a lot of fairytale movies going around these days, but it\’s not different than the superhero movies they throw out every couple of years. Seriously, do we really need a new Spiderman or Superman for that matter. That is pretty tiring. Hailee is young, she can do both, and with her talent I\’m sure she\’ll be around for a long time. I think you don\’t approve, and why because it\’s not a small scale more interesting picture for you?

I don\’t think that Savages is necessarily more interesting than Hunger Games. From all accounts, Hunger Games features an interesting, strong lead character whereas the Savages role sounds like it could fall into both standard \’Girlfriend\’ and \’Damsel in Distress\’ territory. But then this is from someone who thinks Oliver Stone is vastly overrated and that unfortunately, strong female characters are usually the exception rather than then norm in his films (among his many, many other sins)
