Witherspoon is too interested in being a celebrity to ever become a serious actress. She has potential, I suppose, but at every turn in her career, when she is given the opportunity, she will seek out films that will enhance her celebrity status rather than her acting "abilities." She's an image, not an actress. She doesn't see acting as an art, form of expression or something to develop. She sees it as a means to an end, the end being fame. Acting requires practice to hone your skill, i'm not sure she can even act anymore at all. All she does now is make faces and confuses that with acting. She's done one good film (WALK THE LINE) in 10 years. Even then, her performance was way overhyped as Joaquin Phoenix really carried the film. She turned down PTA's THE MASTER to star in THIS MEANS WAR, that's all you need to know about her decision making abilities and what she values as an "actress." I think Reese is done.

Definitely nightmare. The only good actress of the bunch is Witherspoon and lately she has been on the decline. I thought Jeff Nichols "Mud" would be the beginning of a career rejuvenation for her but guess not.
