Oh dear, I had high hopes for this til James Cameron the 3D Snakeoil Salesman got involved. Loved his earlier work but now he is obsessed with 3D and a massive portion of the budget of this film will go towards this gimmick that is meant to improve the film.

All it will do is force the director to change the direction and shots to be more 3D friendly, the sweeping views of the mountains of madness will be the one single bonus, but seeing a plane flying over a completely white vast detailless landscape in 3D is pointless, so they will add 3d snow and other such gimmicks.

3D will ruin this movie as will camerons and Del Toro\'s Jilted view of Lovecrafts work.

Look up the quote about the hobbit, he was primed to direct it and admited he had never even read it. Sounds like the perfect man to direct a film based on the works that if you have not read at least 50% of the mythos you cant truly understands its message.

I thought adapting \"shadow over innsmouth\" to be a story of the struggle of bieng gay was a slap in the face of HP, but looks like he better be ready for another slap.
