Wow, I disagree with everything being said here. First off, I think they got every acting category right (drama that is) as all four of my picks were McConaughey, Blanchett, Leto and Lawrence. But if I had to pick the best out of those it has to be McConaughey. Dallas Buyers Club was the role he was born to play, period. And the movie itself I setter than you all give it credit for. In fact, it's my 2nd favorite movie of year. Also, I can't believe the hate for American Hustle, my number 3 movie of the year. I found it better than The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook. I don't think the film is trying to act more important than it is, cause what it is is just an enjoyable character piece. And Jennifer Lawrence deserved the Golden Globe and the Oscar as she highlights every scene she is in. You guys can have Her and Inside Llewyn Davis anyday as I found films boring as shit. Dallas Buyers Club and American Hustle are the films I'll be rewatching ten years down the line.

Very disappointed for Fassbender and Nyong'o. Leto is overrated, while AH is essentially superficial. Ten years from now, the wins for Leto and Lawrence will elicit "huh?" reactions.
