It was intended to be on HBO and it followed Henry Hill in witness relocation (I think there may be a another book this is based on). Apparently it was deemed to close to in themes to The Sopranos, and HBO passed. Could be very interesting. The Boardwalk Empire pilot was absolutely stunning, I do not know how they're going to keep it up from week to week, this show looks sooooo bloody expensive.
