And if I don't think it's blasphemy I don't see Moretz going anywhere near the amazing performance Spacek delivered either. I heard Moore said that it was great cause at least she was about Carrie's age (while Spacek was like 27). What a ridiculous thing to say ! Spacek's performance was out-there and her appearance is far from standard beauty at least (please don't tell me they'll have Moretz go all Ugly Betty !).

Please tell me I'm right. It doesn't matter if film lovers bypass this movie, as i'm sure it will find its audience among the lost in cyber-space generation. I also take issue with the look of pure rage and hatred on Carrie ; not sure if that was the point. But the story has obviously been updated for modern audiences. Also, Chloe Moritz looks too hot. A blasphemy against Sissy Spacek's brilliant performance. Not that it will hurt her career any; Natalie Portman survived Star Wars. Brian De Palma appreciated hot chicks more than anybody, but he wisely left the hotness for the likes of Nancy Allen and Amy Irving. Methinks they just don't make them like they used to.
