So, what can you expect from “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes“? We’ll let director Matt Reeves explain. “We’ve got apes on horses,” he told USA Today. “There is a sense in the beginning of the movie that apes have inherited the Earth. You see the species as it takes dominion over the planet. It’s an ape-world. That’s the fun of it.”
And that ape-centric setting highlights the new pics from the big summer movie that looks to take what was started in Rupert Wyatt‘s original and make things bigger and nastier. The story fast forwards a bit this time around with Caesar gaining power after a virus kills of most of the human population. But there still is a band of survivors out there who are hoping they can get along with their new ape overlords, but obviously, human/ape relations won’t be easy.
Starring Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Andy Serkis, Judy Greer and more, ‘Dawn’ breaks on July 11th.
