But the book itself is one of the best in the genera. It's a very quick read if you get into it (and so far I know no one who's not finished it).

Just stay away from the Shadow Series, those tend to be much harder to pick up on if you're not already into it.

Shoulda seen it coming. Not familiar with the Ender stuff but it's handed out to geek circles in 7th grade, that should say something about its quality.
