I think we\’re all jumping to a conclusions here. I seriously doubt that Oldman is a student of the old comic books, and it is highly likely that he is mistaken or confusing things when he says he *THINKS* its an old villain from an old comic book. When asked that question, he may not have known or remembered that Bane has been announced by WB and Nolan. He\’s not an obsessive fanboy like us who checks the internet everyday for new info on TDKR. He could easily be mistaken and think Bane is a much older villain the the early 1990s. Or perhaps Nolan is merely incorporating elements/motives of an older villain like Hugo Strange into his \”new interpretation\” of Bane as the WB press release said. Oldman\’s comments in no way guarantee there is an ADDITIONAL villain to Bane in this movie.

It was announced that Marion Cotillard was cast for an unknown role. Some forums suggest her to be Talia al Ghul, the daughter of the villain from Batman Begins. It may be possible that Batman will be dealing with the League of Shadows…

God you people are soooo stupid Riddler? How many times do you have to go through with this????

Its likely Leavitt\’s character as a villain (Black Mask? or Dr. Ebeneezer Darrk-the first henchman to serve under Ra\’s Al Ghul withf the league of shadows in the comics) .

Or he\’s referencing Talia Al Ghul. So much for old school..

But if he didn\’t mention Bane in that same interview there\’s very little to go on that indicates Bane is not the villain he\’s talking about. Who knows, we will see…

Perhaps, but I think he\’s well aware of the Bane/Selina Kyle announcement. That was a big one and it was all over Variety and the Hollywood Reporter.
