The best actors get the best out of the best scripts. Yes new, unknown actors might be special and give great performances. I would rather know that the script has attracted som top talent, and if some lesser know talents are also in it an do a great job, that is a bonus!

That Fargo guy is clear bitter and jealous. He's crapping on Pizzolatto for attracting great talent, yet he relies on a popular film and even uses its famous directors in the promotional material and on top of that he gets big stars. His entire statement is hypocritical. Great writing attracts great talent. It's as simple as that. FX is garbage and so is Fargo, which I don't intend on watching, ever.

It's the great writing that attracted McConaughey and Harrelson, not the idea of being on a TV show. If the writing is great, there won't be a problem attracting A list talent to a limited series. If the writing's crappy, they'll be content playing superheroes in disposable Marvel/XMen films for a lot of money.
