As much as I thought Gerard Way's comic was okay, I'm sick of him (and EVERY other emo guy) defending their tats or their look, et al. based on whatever the hell they grew up watching or reading. It's such a sad case of having to be an arbiter of mid-brow culture just because you're a rock star and think that you're owed that privilege.

Nearly everyone that listens to that band grew up reading and watching the same stuff - who cares & please shut up.
