Seriously speaking, I personally always hope for good movies, but more often than not, you get burned when you give a major filmmaker carte blanche. I honestly have no idea if this will be a good movie or not, and I'm not ready to declare bomb, since my ability to judge cgi-fests from trailers has been solely lacking in recent years.

I also feel that there really only ten to fifteen Cameron apologists out there on the net who blindly think Avatar will be huge and they aren't worth addressing/mocking. But they sure are loud.

Also, doesn't a 3D film that long, like, cause eye problems or something?

I also use that analogy ALLLL the time, but i can't help it because it really, really reminds me of when i was a kid and this other kid at school would always drop his gum out of his mouth when we were playing (usually in the dirt) and we'd go, "ewwww," but he'd INSIST it was still ok, brush off the mud/dirt/twigs and pop it back in his mouth.

He would ALWAYS do this. It cracks me up remembering it. I'm also convinced he grew up to be a nerd.

But if this turned out to be a surprisingly great movie (which is possible), would this blog stay the course and keep hating on it, or would you turn the Titanic around and reverse your stance?

It's just very, very easy to poke fun at.
