The way that I feel about a film depicting Freddie Mercury is that if no one wants to tackle the 'white elephant' in the room, meaning his sexuality as well as his music career, don't do it. Otherwise it becomes truly pointless. That part of his life, as much as many want to ignore it, cannot take one side of Frederick Bulsara(?) without 'Mr. Mercury'. Why hide the obvious? He was a fascinating individual, dark with the light, and those who loved him (and still do) are waiting for an honest portrayal of the man, or at least an honest 'sketch' of the man that became a world-wide phenomenon, (even if for legal reasons, not everyone in his life may want to be portrayed in a film). I hope if a film project about his life does eventually materialize, that it doesn't just 'gloss' over Freddie's persona as a singer/co-creator of Queen, but tries to get at least some elements right, that is, at least a hopeful 'wish'.
