While it would be nice if they focused their efforts on hard-to-find classics and hidden gems, I'm less bothered by the Criterion releases of popular films than I am by the new Blu-ray releases. The extras and essays and art usually make the release worth it, regardless of whether it's well known or not, but for movies I already own on Criterion DVD, I always hate seeing the Blu-ray come out because I know eventually I'm going to have to get it. It's the same as the rest of my DVD collection, but the mark up for Criterion makes it a lot less feasible.

Anyway, my two cents. Most excited here about "The Shootist."
