I loved the first film, a TV movie, Mr. & Mrs Loving, which starred Timothy Hutton and Lela Rochon. Very romantic but also informative about these two people grew up and how natural it was for them to fall in love and marry. That they were actually banished from their home for the crime of marrying each other makes your jaw drop. So, I am intrigued by this new film and the casting looks inspired. Negga looks more like Mrs Loving than Lela Rochon did, but Rochon acted her butt off in that film.
