Either he wasn\’t paying attention, or (more probably), he\’s not smart enough to realize \”Deliverance\” was Man against Man, with nature as the playing field. Worse, he\’s fictionalizing the behavior of wolves, so that everyone will think they are \”like the shark in \’Jaws,\’\” not that a lot of dumb, self-centered ranchers don\’t already think so. And with congress moving to allow hunting wolves again, Carnahan will be doing his bit to push them back to the brink of extinction. Say it ain\’t so, Joe.
