I was reading her Interview Magazine article a few days ago and she apparently was (and still is) waiting for her "Monster" breakthrough like Charlize Theron. I had a few issues with that considering a) Eva Mendes is not physically in the same league as Theron so the whole "hottie goes ugly" philosophy doesn't hold up much b) Eva Mendes is not remotely as talented or versatile as Theron c) Just because you ugly yourself up doesn't automatically mean you will nominated for an Oscar.
