If need to be back to high school, maybe it's better for her style kinda unique, for sure smart, and even bit quirky. And during SATC, Carrie ever mentioned that she lost her virginity roughly sweatly in a locker room. These bittersweet stories/memories supposed to be not just fashional things.

That it allowed the women characters to be sexy and independent at ages where most of TV would write them into "Old Shrew" or "Subservient Wife" stage.
Taking the story back to high school and dealing with hot, young Carrie and friends seems like a big "Fuck you" to the fans who grew up with the show.
Oh well.
