I like HTTYD quite a bit, despite much of it being pretty derivative…
you might want to qualify the Annie Awards sweep by mentioning that Disney and Pixar boycotted them this year.

Oh yay all the original characters are returning. Because everyone loved all of the bland and poorly considered teen sidekicks.

I liked HTTYD, but only in spite of itself — all the stuff with Toothless was GREAT, the action was GREAT. Hiccup was fine. The father/son stuff was passable. Everything else was bad — I hated the love interest, all the other kids, the training sequences and the Viking humor.

Keeping fingers crossed they don\’t fall into the usual traps that plague sequels.

For one I hope they don\’t force a false emotional thread into the film about Hiccup & Toothless having a fight and going their separate ways for an entire act.
