God I wanna see this movie even more now. Yet, now that I've been spending quite a lot of time reading The Playlist and the like, I come to realize how "local" that kind of film is. I mean I know a bit about cinema, but still you'll probably be as surprised as I am to actually get that most of these innovative sundance/american-indie flicks won't get a descent release oversea, even in the art-house circuit. Well at least Beast of the southern wild will hit theater in December in France.

'Red' has never been about -nor it contains- time travel, the movie is not trying to ask "How did he get there?" so much as "Why is he there?", it's a film of remarkable philosophical depth, trying to explain its mysteries with mundane genre trappings such as time travel would make it immediatly boring and commonplace. Batmanglij made a rather obtuse remark there.
