Personally, I don't care who does the music as long as it fits in with the movie time period. I hate watching a film that's gone to great lengths to make you feel you're in either the 17th century or whatever then you get Bow Wow Wow coming thru the speaker system. No, it didn't work for me!
These artists are capable of writing songs to fit the film..Please make the effort. It is bad enough that once again we have a actress that doesn't even fit the description of "Catherine" in The Great Gatsby and these is the second attempt at filming this book. I can wait till it comes out on cable.

I don't understand the haters. You don't have to go see the film if you don't like Luhrmann's style. He creates large, fun spectacles and I for one am excited for this film. I think Luhrmann is the perfect choice for adapting this spectacular novel and with a first-rate cast and an inevitably wonderful soundtrack, it will be a big hit. Can't wait for Oscars 2014… best pic, director, actor/actress, ALL THE AWARDS!

this movie is going to be fantastic…i cannot wait for it to open. baz is the best choice for a movie of this scale. it will be just as beautiful as moulin rouge and romeo and juliet.
