Saw this movie's premiere at the BAM in Brooklyn a few weeks back and I strongly recommend it. The story was captivating and suspenseful while both visuals and soundtrack were amazing. We were lucky to enjoy a Q&A with the director before and after the screening.

Actually, after his thoughtful, measured and largely Spanish-language debut, this is exactly the kind of move I'd expect from the director — a important story he could be passionate about. Sounds like a must-see — Maria was a gut-wrenching experience.
