He should have never vanished of course most of it was political, his Russian ex-wife was probably paid by the Jewish Film Industry power brokers to break up his marriage, especially after his Masterpiece 'Christ' film. That film called out the Hebrew high Priests directly unlike no other biblical film beforehand. As a result, the Film industry powers that 'be' decided on a destroying Mel's marketibility and private life.
Regardless, Mel G. is still no HOF actor like Gary Cooper..however, his long career is quite similar..however, he still needs a 'They Came to Cordura' or "Mary Deare' film to return with a 'Bang'…and maybe "Mad Max 4" may be that bang.

The z900s and z1000s, of which I had many. Max Rockatanski , Johnny the boy, the goose and the toecutter. Characters whose one liners still spring to mind now when I am on the road. Not sure if Tom Hardy can cut it as Mel Gibson did though.

Mel made the other 3 and imo his aging only adds to the movie. As in what has his character been doing since the gap from thunderdome. That was always what kept me waiting for another. Just think it is such a dumb move to not have Mel back. This should have been the redemption film for Mel in the public's eye. I WANT MEL GIBSON BACK IN THE LEAD NOW!!!
