First off here, the key thing to note: Allegiances are always shifting.

Secondly, we were told to keep it vague which we did and then THR basically revealed most of what you've read — the stuff you're calling spoilers — so it was all fair game.

We just elaborated slightly, but again, allegiances are in flux and we were careful to say only just as much as they did except for Tatum, Banderas and Quaids roles because they didn't actually know what they were.
