I don\’t think it would be deserving of praise since reverse sexism does not exist. What should happen to these female-led properties (if they have to be remade) is a race-swap, as it already happened with Steel Magnolias. A lot of great POC actresses are not getting enough work.

How about putting in some effort and actually try.
But a problem with this is that people will look at this as pushing political correctness and rubbing in the face of the audience or trying way to hard to get the female audience.

They will take the easy way out if it means money.

BTW, If someone announced a gender swapped version of Steel Magnolias or I Spit On Your Grave, would they get the same praise?
