I agree with Hudson. As a fan I don\’t want to see a reboot. If it was a follow on from the first two then yes but not all female it has to be 3 females and 1 male at the very least. NO REBOOT

I totally agree with Hudson, to be honest. Just making them women, in and of itself, doesn\’t seem to add a lot of comedy value.

Now, do a complete reboot AND set it in the 80\’s, and I think that has some legs. Because the idea of four women in the 80\’s setting up a professional, paranormal investigation and elimination company, and the contrast of 80\’s attitudes and modern sensibilities… yeah, I can see some mileage in that, because it would be Kind Of A Big Deal.

Everyone had a right to an opinion. Hudson has his. I agree for the most part…with exception to the \’if not funny, sexy\’ remark. The issue is that this is NOT the Ghostbusters 3 that the fans want. There is nothing saying it won\’t be successful, it\’s just not what the fans wanted to hear. Feig is a good director and good luck to him BUT Hollywood has this thing about reboots and I don\’t think GB should be one of them. It can\’t really be called Ghostbusters 3 if it\’s not a sequel to the previous two. Yes Harold Ramis had passed on and Bill Murray dragged his feet but still, the fans want their childhood heroes back, even just to pass the torch…Not a new origin story. It could work….It did for Batman, Spider-Man ect BUT if the other GB fans feel the same as me, it feels like we just got slapped in the face and laughed at by the studio. Good luck with the picture but I won\’t be rushing to see it.

It\’s like spending all ur cash on publishers\’ clearing house useless JUNK, thinking one day they\’ll FINALLY come to your door, with that million dollar check……but…..to no avail. Apparently the guy\’s been lookin\’ foreward to reliving some ghost busting on the big screen agaim in some way, and now that it\’s gonna happen, he, and others, are no where in the equation. I feel for Hudson, and anybody else from the original cast, that might feel the same. Bridesmaids was meant to have a female led cast, and it WORKED! GB is a totally differenr story. Feig could\’ve gone the route of the rebooted "Extreme Ghostbusters" cartoon, and added fresh and funny male faces, with one really bad ass funny chick, that could hang with the fellas! That makes a bit more sense. I will continue to have doubts about this "reboot," (I\’m sick of reboots as well) until it appears in theaters. Perhaps beyond that too!

Ernie The new director has said that the new team of female Ghostbusters will be funny. I\’ve seen funny females in movies like The Heat which I have on dvd and others. Ghostbusters the reboot will be a funny/scary movie and I\’m fine with an all female cast and I\’m looking forward to this. Please be in the Ghostbusters reboot with Dan Aykroyd and hopefully with Rick,Sigourney and Annie. If the women aren\’t sexy but funny that\’s Awesome! I Love Women too and Women can be funny actors so please return to Ghostbusters reboot/Ghostbusters 3!:) I\’m looking forward to seeing you and Dan and hopefully the rest of the cast and even though Bill Murray won\’t be in the GB Reboot he loves the idea of having female Ghostbusters in the new reboot movie. I\’ll be first in line when the new Gb Reboot goes into the theaters in 2016!:)

People LOVED the Ghostbusters, it was a classic. Replacing the whole story just to add a female cast doesn\’t empower women, it\’s a publicity stunt that sends the message that women can\’t have a successful franchise on their own so let\’s just replace the males in an already proven franchise. Disliking this idea also doesn\’t mean you\’re mysoginistic, it means you really effin liked something and don\’t want it ruined over a publicity stunt. And no I\’m not saying it\’s going to be ruined because of the women, I\’m saying you can\’t change a proven classic storyline and expect people to enjoy it. We loved Ghostbusters, we wanted more of the Ghostbusters we know and love. Replacing everything an extremely dedicated fan base knows and loves is just stupid. And insulting one of the people who made this franchise so great in the first place, because he\’s dissatisfied they\’re using this movie as a publicity stunt instead of advancing the franchise is even worse.

Relax, saying that a reboot of a movie with a now all-female cast isn\’t something the fans want to isn\’t in and of itself a misogynistic statement. The fact is they could get the four funniest women on the planet and it wouldn\’t compare to the magic of the previous 2 movies. I can tell you that as a Ghostbusters fan AND as a fan of movies I\’m not keen on the idea if only because I\’m sick of all the rebooting. He\’s right, call it something else because it is NOT Ghostbusters.
