Meh. There have been rumors of an alternate cut of "The Thin Red Line" since 1998 and that obviously has never seen the light of day. In 2021 we'll still be waiting for the mythical longer version of "Tree Of Life."

still trying to milk this garbage? i don't know what's worse, all the "is there dinosaurs" stuff the film media peddled before the movie came out or all this "are there other cuts on the way? what else was shot?" stuff coming now.

All movies have footage that was cut or not used. It's not breaking news. If it's confirmed he's working on a director's cut, let me know

hah. no wonder penn was mad. i will say i wish we saw more of him in the film and i do think a better film is somewhere out there in an editing room to be found. that being said, i loved 'the tree of life' as it stands. for me,however, malick's best films are still 'the thin red line' and 'badlands.'
