I think if the studio or Webb don't hammer him down, Garfield could do something really interesting with Spiderman, certainly more intersting than Maguire did, although I kinda wish they'd let him keep his own accent. Hopefully Webb will make it funny in a less cheesy way than Raimi did. The cast is certainly up to that challenege and it would be a waste to make a super serious Spiderman ala Nolan's Batman. He's a goofy kid, not a jilted billionare.
