All the actresses are great but I agree with some of the comments…against Rachel Weisz?? I think Rachel should get the role…Emma is to young and Emily Blunt, well…I personally don't see her as versatile as Rachel Weisz. Rachel, I think, has proven over the years she could do Comedy (The Brothers Bloom), Action (The Mummy 1 & 2), Thriller (I guess? in Constantine), Drama (Oscar worthy performances!!! The Constant Gardner, The Whistleblower & The Deep Blue Sea)….I think she would be a good opposite for Johnny Depp.

If Emily Blunt, Emma Stone and Kristen Wiig are the top choices for the part of Nora for the Thin Man, then the movie is going to turn out terrible. You need a real actress to go to to toe with Johnny Depp, not a comedian. The only actress on that list who would hold her own with Depp is Rachel Weisz, who has the range and acting skill to keep Depp from making the film into a joke. She can bring substance and real flare to the role and the movie, that same something Myrna Loy brought to the originals. Blunt, Stone and Wiig don't have it in them to do that and if they are the top contenders, then the people who loved the Thin Man movies have a lot to worry about.

While I think the idea of a Thin Man remake is horrible and Emily Blunt is a wonderful actress, the only person I can see doing the part justice is Rachel Weisz.
