As someone who actually read the book I thought this film was terrible! it took nothing from what was an unasuming funny British tale and made it into a cringe worthy, predictable, Americanised farce. Don't bother to rent this unless you wish to inflict pain upon yourself! I would however say that the music was a saving point.

the munchausen songs I thought were quite well done, especially considering they aren't a real band, and she's primarily an actress. it shocked me a little and I've just been googling the band name because I was a little uncertain if it was a hoax or not! and was pleasantly surprised by the movie, it's been a while since I've actually enjoyed cheese on film 🙂

Despite the all around bashing Yes Man got, I thought it was actually pretty funny.
Maybe it's just because I had low expectations from all the people who dismissed it because 'Jim Carrey is still doing the same old jokes'. Still, it made me laugh out loud more than once.
Loved Munchausen, I kinda wish they were a real band.

I never saw it, no. Maybe it’s cute. I’d give it a chance on cable, but then again, i just purposely dropped cable. I’m a big fan of Zooey and her music and i expected it to be great, but i thought the music here was really sub par.

Oh I wish I was an Apple laptop carrying,latte-in-the-morning,VW-driving,i-pod listening clown who (sight unseen),could judge a movie,such as “Yes Man”.But sadly i’m just a regular shmuck,who rather quite enjoyed the flick,sure,it’s not oscar worthy…but hey ,it’s no brokeback mountain…just a light farce with great presence by Zooey Deschael,which makes it all-together a fun couple of hours!
Granted it has a cheesy predictable ending,but hey! Predictable,pretentious,absurd,is right up Mr.Clown’s alley(I’m talkin’ to YOU ‘sight-unseen reviewer’).
