That\’s an outright lie. No one is ignoring the movie happened. Banner mentioned the events of the movie in The Avengers, and Agents of SHIELD made a reference to General Ross being in charge of Blonsky. This writer is a hack for lying to try to have a Scathingly Snarky Attitude in his writing.

He alienated the studio after he battled for the right to final cut on his Hulk film (he wasn\’t the director, and only the biggest directors get offered final cut, as it\’s almost always reserved for the studio itself). His shenanigans are a matter of record, and can be looked up. He bit the hand that fed (or at least paid) him, and was not asked back.

Norton wasn\’t fired for not being a team player – Marvel simply didn\’t want to pay his fee so financial negotiations fell through with his agent. Luckily the much cheaper Mark Ruffalo was a good replacement.

Uh, Cary, didn\’t you read the whole article? He\’ s done 3 very well received films since. One of them, Birdman, is almost a super hero movie (not really, but there is one in it).
Believe it or not, some actors prefer not to do "blockbusters"–or at least not too many of them, even if they could (see Brad Pitt) and even if they get paid more. Why?? You say, would they ever do that??? We\’ll, maybe so their acting, the raisin d\’être, does not have to compete against constant special effects and alter egos.
