Why watch Prisoners? Why not just watch Hostages on TV? The film was even originally marketed like it was a TV show. I hate how so much criticism comes from inside the cultural loop, and not outside. Step outside, have a look; the fresh air will do you good.

This a horrible Top Ten Films of 2013 list. Spring Breakers, Blue Jasmine and Before Midnight are all very overrated, although, I admit, I did like each of them.

Very nice to see Prisoners on a top ten list. I didn't expect the film to be pushed for much, but I was really hoping for Jackman and Gyllenhaal to get some awards attention this winter.

This is a great list. I loved all these films.

Prisoners has been painfully ignored this awards season.
