DAVE is totally right. Dre is a businessman, and that\’s a typical corporate response. Nothing real to be had with him, anymore.

And that\’s called deep-seated pathology swept under the proverbial, psychic, rug. Surprised, frankly, that AD takes such a reductionism view: akin to Jill Scott\’s defense of Cosby until the truth (not, "a" truth, the common misnomer) comes out.

Dre\’s answer to Rolling Stone is incredibly shrewd. He keeps his street cred by not overtly renouncing the violence. He calls them "stupid mistakes" to characterize them as the rash behavior of a young man, and "wishes he could take it back", but in no way apologizes for those actions. He also signals to potential business partners and other future collaborators that he\’s cool to work with because "he\’ll never do anything like that again". Seems to be a perfect answer to satisfy all parties which he needs to satisfy.
