I don't get this bullshit – same goes for any "black Bond" discussions – if you wanna do something meaningful, why don't you make your own thing instead of just trying to fit into white establishments? And so fucking what if he's white? There are white people in the world, they're no less valid as people than any other ethnicity. People act as if not shoehorning other ethnicities into everything is tantamount to not acknowledging them. Regardless, the main problem is simply that Spider-man is not black. This is by and large an adaption, not a radical reinterpretation.

So if Donald Glover loves Spiderman and I don't doubt that he does, then why would he want to tamper with that? It changes the story entirely. So obviously their is a want for it. Donald should create a comic book character and when he's spider guy he can can himself Arachnid Jones or something. The age of the remake has made people flip their collective wigs! Oh and if it's necessary to say…I'm black, er African-American (my apologies, I grew up being called black).
