By summer's end, audiences are usually digging on alternatives to the stockpile of sequels and, I think, Ant-Man will appear as an original enough offering that it could really take off at that date. Besides the fact that Marvel is clearly high on positioning their more bold, unproven properties at summer's end now. See Guardians of the Galaxy getting much the same date next summer.
