Especially when you have another big-budget western \”Django Unchained\” coming out the same week, which will most likely take half of its target audience(young adults/older males). Not to mention a chunk of its target family audience will also be taken away by \”Life of Pi\”. So if i were Rich Ross I would Switch \”Lone Ranger\” to May 31 2013 while I still had the chance. Either that or move \”Oz\” to the summer and release \’Lone Ranger March 8 2013. Which seems smarter to me because I honestly can\’t see a western being able to compete with some of the flashier summer Blockbuster-fare in 2013.
